As we reported last week, many American Internet services were blocked due to the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square crackdown, Bing is now available to China mainland users. China huge Internet market accounted for 300 million users.
Since the tag line for Bing is a “decision engine”, the Chinese brand of Bing is dubbed as “biying” which mean “giving answer.” That is a very close to what Bing's intention for Chinese users to use the engine.
In China, “bing” has many meanings, include “sickness” or “getting cold” or “ice pack” (example, “bing shui” if you asked for a glass of “ice water” in a Chinese restaurant).
